Meet Nicole.
Nicole is an innovative visual director with over 20 years of experience in visual merchandising, display direction, and retail management. Her expertise fuels business growth while enhancing brand experience and environment. Nicole began working in retail when she moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer. While studying dance with prestigious companies such as Alvin Ailey and Dance Theater of Harlem, she started working part-time at Urban Outfitters. Recognized for her hard work, diligence, and pursuit of perfection, Nicole quickly moved up within the organization.
For more than fifteen years, Nicole has been overseeing visual merchandising and display direction, training teams on brand guidelines and expectations. In 2012, she joined Scotch & Soda as the Head of Visual Merchandising for the United States and Canada. During her time there, she led over 40 store openings in various countries and played a significant role in expanding the brand in North America. Nicole established a visual merchandising team, collaborating with colleagues to drive sales and maintain brand identity.
In 2021, Nicole was recruited by Ted Baker to revamp visual standards for the iconic British lifestyle brand. Over 2.5 years, she led the visual merchandising team, enhancing in-store environments, concession locations, and providing support for seasonal wholesale showroom setups and shop-in-shop launches across North America. Nicole worked closely with marketing, merchandising, store design, and operations teams.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, and tending to her garden. She is passionate about practicing yoga, maintaining a healthy lifestyle to minimize her impact on the planet, and is dedicated to giving back to her indigenous community. Nicole believes training, setting clear expectations, and providing comprehensive feedback is key to cultivating and maintaining a strong brand experience.
